Around Town Dresden Plate



The Dresden Plate block was inspired by porcelain plates from Dresden, Germany, and became popular in the 1920s and 1930s.  In this class we will learn the traditional technique but add our own flare to create a fun and whimsical "town" wall hanging. 
This is an "Art" class that you get to use your imagination to create your OWN town...Bring your scraps and embellishments to add to the fun.

This class is nonrefundable.


Skill Level: Intermediate
Skill Details: First learn how to make a traditional dresden plate and then start designing your "town".
Materials Included: See requirements for materials needed
Requirements: Dresden Plate ruler, fabric glue, thread, scissors, sewing machine, embellishments of your choice. Fabric requirements: 3/4 yard background fabric (minimum amount) 6-8 large (1/4 yd) size scrap fabric 4-6 medium (1/8)size scrap fabric 4-6 small size scrap fabric 1/2 yard Steam a Seam
